I like the wildcat and not oposed to it being run more often. Although I would like to see a pass option in the package. I always thought Crayton , as a former QB, would be a good candidate. Another positive about the wildcat that you didn’t mention is that it forces the opposing team to allot valuable practice time to defend against it.
Excellent point about the practice time. That really slipped my mind but it is definitely true. I also like the idea of having a pass option, which is why I see players such as Tim Tebow as so valuable.
I like the thoughts of Choice getting more touches. Also the comment about practice time or forcing other teams to prepare is valid. The one thing is that they actually need to let Choice throw the ball at least a couple of times. Otherwise, the box is packed. Even then it is effective because it’s the only time it’s really 11 on 11. Maybe, we should just roll Romo out more and/or put in a small handful of QB draws. I really appreciate your recognition of the fact that Vick was doing it in Atlanta. BTW I’m a Va Tech fan. But IMO if Vick wasn’t a runner he never starts in the NFL. Great arm but no accuracy. I’m glad he and his brother are gone from Tech for the record. No more blackeyes! Just look now, tragic.
I’ve seen Choice throw, and while I wouldn’t call him Joe Montana, he looks to be at least as talented as Miami’s Ronnie Brown (who throws from time to time). It isn’t like he will have to squeeze the ball in tight windows. Too bad Crayton is so damn slow haha
