There are rumors that the Cowboys might have interest in former University of Texas and Bengals receiver Jordan Shipley. I really don’t think the ‘Boys will land Shipley simply because another team that’s higher than them in the waiver order will probably put in a claim.

Nonetheless, I think Shipley would be an amazing fit in Dallas. Back when Shipley was enter the NFL Draft, I did a scouting report on him:

Scouting Report

Shipley has excellent lateral quickness and moves, but still does a great job of running north and south. His balance and body control are tremendous, perhaps as good as they get. Shipley does not possess burning speed, but is by no means slow (he should run a mid to high 4.4). He could have trouble fighting for the ball or going up to get a jump ball, but if used correctly in the slot, these weaknesses should not get exposed regularly.

I really liked Shipley then, and I really like him now. Bring him in, Jerry!
