Some home remedy to whiten your teeth

There are multiple reasons that can cause teeth dullness and lose their whiteness and brightness.  But the main reason for your teeth staining is enamel thinning. Outer layer of the teeth consists of enamel that makes the teeth look white and protects the inner structure of the tooth. Beneath the enamel, there is a tissue located called dentine which is mostly yellow and brown. So, when the enamel layers get damaged or thin then your teeth starts looking stained or discolored.

Some effective remedies

  • Oil pulling: this remedy is practiced to improve oral hygiene and minimize toxins from the body. It involves swishing oil around the mouth for removal of bacteria that can later result in plaque and can result in yellow looking teeth.  Mostly coconut oil is the best choice due to its pleasant taste and also has many additional health benefits. 
  • Brush your teeth with baking soda: it is the most common ingredient in most of the toothpaste because it has natural whitening properties. It is usually mild abrasive that helps to scrub away the stain from your teeth surface. After using this remedy, you can experience a great difference within a week.  
  • Use of apple cider vinegar: this vinegar has been used since a long time as a natural cleaning product and disinfectant. Acetic acid is the most active ingredient in apple vinegar, which is very effective in killing the bacteria and germs. This antibacterial property of the vinegar makes it a successful remedy for whitening the teeth and cleaning the mouth. You should always use apple cider vinegar in a small quantity because excess of it can damage your enamel layer.
